2. What Information We Collect
Quote Enquiries: When you use our "Request a quote" form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, details about your boat (make and length), where it is berthed, and any specific message you send.
Technical Data: Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (including your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request) to operate, maintain, and secure the website.
No Tracking: We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies, and we do not build marketing profiles.
3. How We Use Your Data and Our Lawful Basis
We use your enquiry details strictly to respond to your message, prepare a quote, and arrange work on your vessel.
Our lawful basis under data protection law is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, alongside your explicit consent given when you hit submit on the form. We will never sell, rent, or lease your data to third parties.
4. Who Processes Your Data
To keep our business running smoothly, we use a few trusted third-party services to process data on our behalf:
- Vercel: Hosts the website and runs our form-handling infrastructure. Standard server logs are stored securely here.
- Resend: Sends the email notifications that deliver your quote request to our inbox and send a confirmation back to you. Your name, email, and message pass through this service for delivery.
- Google (Google Workspace / Gmail): We receive, read, and manage your enquiry emails within our secure business email inbox.
All fonts used on this website are self-hosted directly from our servers, meaning your IP address is not shared with external font providers like Google Fonts.
5. Cookies and Storage
This site does not set any tracking, marketing, or advertising cookies.
We use a single piece of essential local storage to remember if you have dismissed our cookie notice so that it does not disrupt your experience on future visits.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
If you submit an enquiry but do not go ahead with booking a job, we will retain your enquiry details for 12 months, after which they are securely deleted.
If you do book a job with us, we will keep your contact and vessel details for the duration of our ongoing business relationship and to meet our standard accounting and legal obligations.
